Welcome to Core Wellness. We're delighted that you're considering joining our classes. Before making any bookings, please take a moment to review our terms and conditions carefully. By booking or attending our classes, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, creating a legally binding agreement between you and Core Wellness.

2. ABOUT US
Core Wellness offers a range of exercise classes suitable for everyone, regardless of fitness levels or background. We specialise in classes for mums, providing dedicated sessions for them to exercise, alongside their babies. Our commitment is to create a supportive environment, ensuring safety and promoting enjoyment through our classes.
Our instructors hold a minimum Level 2 in Exercise to Music, Level 3 in Pre and Postnatal Fitness (YMCA, accredited), safe babywearing qualification (Slingsmart accredited), First Aid for Fitness and Dance (Protrainings) and are DBS checked.
Our classes operate under Core Wellness, and when we refer to "we", "us," “our”, we're talking about Core Wellness Ltd and the class you're interested in or booking.
3. DEFINITIONS
- "Core Wellness": Refers to our business offering exercise classes, including specialised sessions for mums with their babies.
- "Participant": Any individual who attends or intends to attend any of our exercise classes.
- "DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)": A check carried out on our instructors to ensure they have no criminal convictions that may make them unsuitable to work with children and vulnerable adults.
- "Classes": The exercise sessions provided by Core Wellness, including those for general participants and specific sessions designed for mums and their babies.
- "Instructor": The certified individuals leading the exercise classes at Core Wellness.
- "Baby": The infant or toddler accompanying a mum to the designated exercise classes, up to age 5 years.
- "Terms and Conditions": The guidelines and rules outlined in this document that govern the use of our services.
- "Informed Consent": The agreement that participants acknowledge and agree to, as referenced in the Participant Information and PAR-Q questionnaire they sign before attending an exercise class with us. This acknowledges their understanding of the risks and benefits associated with the classes.
- "Participant Information and Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q)": The document that collects necessary personal and health information from participants to ensure safe and suitable class experiences.
- "Booking Platform (Yuup)": The third-party service used for class bookings and payments. Participants must agree to Yuup's Terms & Conditions when using this platform.
4. HEALTH AND SAFETY
4.1 Participation Requirements
- Complete our Participant Information and PAR-Q form at least 24 hours before attending your first class. Ensure that all information provided in the form is accurate and up to date.
- Inform Core Wellness of any medical condition, injuries, or medications you are taking, before participating in any of our classes. Notify Core Wellness of any subsequent changes to your physical wellbeing or medications before further participation.
- Read and agree to our Informed Consent statement before your first class; acknowledging and accepting any associated risks with our classes, and your right to withdraw from the class at any time. Only confirm your agreement if any concerns are satisfactorily addressed and considered to a standard you feel comfortable with (i.e. adaptations that are suggested are deemed appropriate for your individual needs).
- If you're pregnant, please follow your healthcare professional’s advice regarding exercise. After childbirth, ensure you have had your 6-8 weeks postnatal check (for vaginal delivery) or 10-12 weeks post-caesarean and received clearance to exercise before participating.
- Do not attend classes if you or your baby (if attending) are unwell or have tested positive for COVID-19. Please inform us if you have been ill, and refrain from attending classes if you or your baby have had a fever, upset stomach, or other symptoms in the past 48 hours.
4.2 Class Conduct and Safety
- Ensure that you and your baby (if attending) are fit and healthy for class participation. Notify your instructor immediately, if you feel unwell during any session.
- Follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor during the class. Our instructors will outline safety measures at the beginning of the class and provide ongoing advice.
- Keep all equipment that you are using close to you, to avoid any hazards for other participants.
- Wear appropriate exercise clothing and footwear, have water ready, and avoid loose items that could cause injury (e.g., wires or jewellery).
- Demonstrate respectful conduct towards the instructor and other participants during the class. Disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in participants being asked to leave the class.
- Follow the instructors’ guidance for a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Listen to your body and exercise within your capability limits; our instructors can offer low-intensity options, and at times, alternate options to adapt exercises to your needs. Utilise low-intensity options if needed and seek instructor assistance when required.
- Familiarise yourself with the venue's emergency procedures and exits.
5. OUR CLASSES
5.1 Class Overview
- Classes are led by certified instructors and cater to various needs, including dedicated sessions for mothers who wish to bring their children with them.
- Our mother and child classes are designed for mothers to exercise alongside their children as observers, not as active participants.
- Our instructors are happy to assist you with your child in certain situations but are not responsible for taking care of your child. You are solely responsible for your child’s care, safety, and wellbeing during our classes.
5.2 Class Location
- Classes are held at Turnberries on a room hire basis. The venue has parking facilities outside and a large car park across the road. It also provides access to water, toilets and baby changing. We offer an environment supportive of breastfeeding.
- In case of venue unavailability, we will notify you as soon as possible and attempt to arrange a suitable alternative.
5.3 Class Timings
- Classes last approximately 45 minutes.
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of the class to ensure everyone is ready and babies are comfortably placed before beginning.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the class if there is anything you wish to share or discuss with us.
- You are welcome to stay for up to 15 minutes post-class, but please vacate the room after this period to allow the next class to take place.
6. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS
6.1 Booking Process
- Classes must be booked and paid for in advance using our host booking platform, Yuup. Please refer to Yuup's website for details on their Terms & Conditions. Participants must agree to Yuup's Terms & Conditions when using the booking platform.
- Our class fees are outlined on our website and host booking platform Yuup.
- We reserve the right to change our fees from time to time, but any changes will not affect classes already booked.
- If a class is fully booked, you may email us to be placed on a waiting list. We will notify you of available spaces or additional classes at least 24 hours in advance.
6.2 Payment and Attendance
- You must thoroughly read these terms and conditions and only make a booking/payment if you agree to them.
- Failure to pre-pay for a class may result in participants being turned away upon arrival.
- Upon booking, a confirmation email/message will be sent, detailing the class.
- We reserve the right to decline participation if your Participant Information & PAR-Q responses indicate potential health risks. If we determine that it is not advisable for you to participate, we will notify you and issue a full refund.
6.3 Session Breaks and Schedule Changes
- Classes will usually run for consecutive weeks, but please check with us regarding any breaks in the schedule. While we strive for consistency, class times or days may occasionally change.
- Times, days and location of our classes are shown on our adverts, Facebook page and website. Classes will only be bookable if scheduled to proceed.
- In the event of class breaks due to instructor holidays, advance notice will be provided.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes at our discretion. Participants will be notified of any changes in advance.
- We will provide at least 48 hours notice for any changes to the class schedule.
6.4 Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class time.
- You may transfer your booking to another person if you are unable to attend. The new participant must complete a Participant Information & Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) and agree to informed consent before attending.
- We may accommodate rescheduling requests with more than 48 hours notice.
- Refunds will only be issued in accordance with our cancellation policy.
- Failure to attend a class without at least 48 hours prior notice will be considered a 'no-show' and will not be eligible for refunds or transfers.
- In the event that our instructors are unable to deliver a class due to illness, with no suitable replacement, we will issue a full refund.
7. CHILDREN'S ATTENDANCE AND SAFETY
For classes where children accompany their mothers, the following terms and conditions apply:
7.1 Notification
- Children attending must be under 5 years old, with the exception of school holidays where siblings may also attend.
- You must inform us via email, at least 48 hours before class, if additional children will be attending with you. Late notification may prevent us from accommodating them.
- Prior to attending, provide your child's name, age, and any allergies or medical conditions that could affect their safety or the safety of others during our class.
- If your child is unwell, do not attend a Core Wellness class. Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
- Notify our instructors immediately if your child becomes unwell during the class.
7.2 Safety Measures
- You are responsible for your child’s safety and care throughout the class.
- You must supervise your child at all times and ensure their behaviour does not disrupt the class.
- Toys brought into the class must be stationary objects to minimise the risk of accidents such as trips and falls; they must be within your sight at all times.
- Our instructors are SlingSmart babywearing trained and can offer peer support for safe use of slings/baby carriers they are familiar with.
- If using a baby carrier during class and your child falls asleep, ensure they remain inward-facing for continuous monitoring and stability. Alternatively, place them in a safe and comfortable location if removed from the carrier. Choose lower-intensity exercises if your child remains in the carrier.
- Stop and inform the instructor if you have any concerns about your child’s safety.
- If your child has been ill with a fever, upset stomach, or other symptoms in the past 48 hours, they should not attend.
- Our postpartum classes are specifically designed for mothers. While children are welcome to be present and may naturally imitate their mothers, these classes are not intended to instruct children. Children are considered observers and not active participants in the class.
8. SAFEGUARDING
At Core Wellness, we prioritise the well-being and safety of all participants, including vulnerable adults and children attending our classes:
- We encourage any concerns regarding safeguarding or child welfare to be promptly reported to the class instructor. We take all reports seriously and will investigate and address them promptly.
- We enforce comprehensive health and safety measures outlined in our Terms and Conditions, ensuring the safety of participants and their children attending classes.
- We uphold a strict code of conduct to promote respectful behaviour among all participants, fostering a supportive and inclusive class environment.
- Our instructors undergo background checks and hold additional certifications in relevant fields such as First Aid for Fitness and Dance, as well as specialised training in babywearing safety (Slingsmart accredited).
- We consistently review and update our safeguarding policy and procedures to help maintain a safe environment for all.
- Everyone is provided with a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities in respect of safeguarding, and staff are provided with appropriate training to recognise, identify, and respond to signs of abuse, neglect, and other safeguarding concerns.

9. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
- Participation in our classes is voluntary and at your own risk; we are not liable for any injuries or accidents, damage or loss that occur during classes, unless caused by our negligence or inadequate advice.
- Participants are responsible for the safety and well-being of themselves and their baby (where relevant) during the class.
- Participant are required to secure their valuables during classes, as the class venue is shared with other organisations.
- We are not liable for any loss or damage that could not have been reasonably foreseen, or for any accident or injury resulting from your failure to comply with these terms and conditions.
- While our instructors strive to minimise risks during physical exercise, participants acknowledge and accept inherent risks as part of our informed consent process. Core Wellness cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage unless it can be proven to result from negligent or inadequate advice on our part.
- Core Wellness holds public liability insurance to cover any potential accidents or injuries during classes.
- These terms do not limit your legal rights, including any entitlement to compensation due to negligence.
10. PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING
- We may occasionally capture photographs or videos during classes for promotional purposes. If you do not wish for you or your child to be photographed or filmed, please inform us via email at CoreWellnessLtd@gmail.com.
11. PERSONAL INFORMATION AND PRIVACY
- Protecting your personal information is vital to us, and we adhere to all relevant laws. The information you provide is used by us to enhance your class experience, prioritise your safety, offer necessary support, and process your bookings.

12. AMENDMENTS TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, to remain current and relevant.
- Changes are effective immediately and apply to future bookings only.
13. COMPLAINTS AND ISSUES
- We strive to ensure our classes meet your expectations and resolve any unforeseen issues promptly.
- We prefer to resolve issues informally and ask you to please communicate any complaints or concerns directly to us.
- Formal complaints should be submitted in writing and will receive a response within 28 days.
- Your legal rights are unaffected by these terms; unresolved issues can be pursued in court under English law.
